Family Nurse Practitioner

Mark Corey

Mark Corey was born in Seattle, Washington. He spent time in the military where he was able to travel the world. After serving in Vietnam, Mark received honorable discharges from the U.S. Navy and the Department of the Army. In 1983, Mark graduated from Seattle Pacific University, completing the University's Family Nurse Practitioner program. Previous to that date, Mark worked as a Registered Nurse starting in 1976. Early in his career, Mark's primary focus was working in addiction medicine and minor emergency walk-in clinics. Since 1993, Mark has focused on family practice and internal medicine. In 2007, Mark and his family moved to Moro, Oregon where he has been the Primary Care Provider for the Sherman County Medical Clinic. In 2014, Mark completed the Federal Motor Carriers Safety Administration's requirements for becoming a licensed Medical Examiner. Mark is always looking at ways to advance the Sherman County Medical Clinic to best meet the needs of his patients.


District Administrator


Caitlin is the District Administrator and has been with the Health District since September 2013. Caitlin in in charge of all the bookkeeping, accounts payable and accounts receivable. Her duties include, among many other things, managing the clinic and the employees, keeping up to date on Rural Health Clinic policies and procedures, preparing for Board meetings, and keeping current up-to-date contracts with the insurance companies. Caitlin also helps fill in at the Clinic, supporting staff and patients as needed. Medical Assistant & Referral Coordinator


Jerri is our Head Medical Assistant and our Referral Coordinator. She has worked for the Health District since 2003. Jerri is certified in Phlebotomy and has vast medical knowledge. She works tirelessly at getting referrals completed for patients. Jerri is a wonderful resource for the Clinic. Her relationship with the patients is built on her caring and compassionate personality.


Receptionist & Medical Assistant


Laura is part time Receptionist and part time Medical Assistant. Laura has been a quick learner of the different aspects of the clinic. She has established a rapport with the patients which has highlighted her compassionate and caring personality. One of the most important parts of Laura’s job has been to keep patient charts updated with the information we receive from other providers. She is also responsible for getting patient records together to send to other providers.


Receptionist & Billing Clerk


Betsy is our newest employee. She joined the Health District in September 2017. She is part time Receptionist and part time Billing Clerk. Betsy is learning all the different aspects of working the front reception desk and learning the medical billing side. If you have any questions about your insurance or statements, Betsy can answer all your questions. Betsy grew up in Sherman County and we are lucky to have her as part of the Clinic's team!

Rust_Christina CV


Christina Rust 

Christina Rust graduated from the University of Washington MEDEX Northwest Physician Assistant program in August of this year.  She is relocating to this area from Sandpoint, Idaho to be closer to family. She is the second oldest of 8 children and 4 of her siblings currently live in the Columbia gorge area. Prior to returning to PA school, Christina was an orthopedic physical therapist. She graduated from Creighton University in 1996 with the nation’s first Doctor of Physical Therapy degree. Her specialties included sports, orthopedics, work injuries, back pain and arthritis. At the Sherman County Medical Clinic, she plans on expanding the current general family practice to include a more robust women’s health program. In her free time, Christina loves spending time outdoors enjoying such activities as hiking, biking, skiing, kayaking and paddle boarding. Having grown up in a rural, small town, Christina is excited about providing much needed medical services in Sherman County
