Sherman County Medical Clinic is currently seeking a Nurse Practitioner or Physician's Assistant to work in our beautiful rural primary care clinic in Moro, Oregon. SIGNING BONUS, NEGOTIABLE SALARY, and CME ALLOWANCE AVAILABLE. NO ON-CALL REQUIRED.

Sherman County Medical Clinic is currently seeking a Nurse Practitioner or Physician's Assistant to work in our beautiful rural primary care clinic in Moro, Oregon.  The Nurse Practitioner or Physician's Assistant will be the provider of choice for primary and preventative services offering comprehensive care of exceptional quality for all people in Sherman County and surrounding areas.  The PA/NP works under the supervision of the Medical Director of the Clinic and in partnership with a team of medical assistants and administrative staff.  Hours of operation are Monday through Thursday from 8 am to 5 pm; Friday from 8 am to 12:30 pm.  NO ON-CALL HOURS AND NO WEEKEND HOURS. Average number of office visits is 7-9 patients per day.

Sherman County Medical Clinic is operated by the Sherman County Health District, which is supported by the residents of the county through a tax assessment. This single-clinician clinic has approximately 1,000 active patients and has active referral and consultation arrangements with Mid-Columbia Medical Center, a 45-minute drive from the clinic, as well as collegial support from medical communities in The Dalles, Hood River, Madras, Bend and Portland.  

The Sherman County Medical Clinic is a Rural Health Clinic committed to enhancing the quality of life for the residents of Sherman County and Eastern Oregon.  We seek to serve the needs of the rural community by providing affordable, comprehensive, and accessible medical services in a safe, professional, and caring environment.  We believe that by putting the needs of the people first, we will gain trust, respect, and compassion for each other.  We work to improve the health of our patients by promoting collaboration and education.

The Sherman County Medical Clinic is a Tier 3 Patient-Centered Primary Care Home.  We have telemedicine capabilities on-site, including a mobile video cart.  In 2015, the Clinic underwent a remodel to improve the patient experience and to bring the medical facilities more up-to-date.  Recent changes to the Clinic include measures to keep patients and staff safe.  

Currently Sherman County Medical Clinic employs one Medical Director, one District Administrator, 2 Medical Assistants - one who also fills the role of referral coordinator, and 1 Billing Clerk.  The Medical Director has 22 years of experience in a clinical setting.  The District Administrator has 5 years of experience.  The Medical Assistants have a combined 22 years of experience.  One medical assistant has 19 years of experience as emergency medical services EMT.  The Billing Clerk is AAPC certified in medical billing and coding.
